Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience
Feb 13 @ 7:00 pm

The Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience is a rare newcomer to traditional pop…fusing a big band spirit with an inventive edge…at once more risky than Buble, more modern than Sinatra. Shaun, an Emmy award-winning crooner (and lead singer of the internationally known vocal group, Tonic Sol-fa) indelibly stamps vocal jazz and swing with a contemporary punch – to the delight of both traditionalists and newcomers – emerging as an original voice in the continuing tradition of the American singer.

Rocky Raccoon: “A Celebration of The Beatles”
Feb 22 @ 7:00 pm

Based in Des Moines, Iowa and formed in October of 2015, Rocky Raccoon has built a musical and visual experience for all ages. The group features five multi-talented musicians who are huge Beatles fans themselves. This means they take the time to “get it right”. The music is performed with an attention to detail few other tribute bands present. Of course the show features “the hits” but what this band excels at are the deeper album cuts that other tribute bands often don’t. For the musicians of Rocky Raccoon, even solo songs by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are thought of as Beatles’ songs. This allows for a comprehensive look into the complete career of The Beatles. Period correct stage attire, vintage and re-issue instruments, and amplifiers add to the true flavor of the reproduction of the music and a great deal to the vibe and visuals of the Rocky Raccoon experience.
